Account Management for GovCon

Managing government customer accounts and contacts is a key element of GovCon business development. Large organizations often maintain this information in CRM systems. Smaller organizations often use spreadsheets and have no formal system. In either case, value is lost because the account and contact information is not readily accessible to all people when and in the context of their day to day work. The information is siloed, or non-existent, and not tied to their capture, proposal, and overall account management activities.  It is almost impossible to get a holistic view of accounts and the work that is going on.

R3 Account Management solves this problem for organizations that are using Microsoft SharePoint. It adds Account and Contacts as a master data source into a SharePoint environment. From anywhere across a SharePoint environment people are able to access, add, or change this information. Users can also log contact activity and tie it to accounts and contacts and to other work and resources such as capture, proposal, program, knowledge assets, and departmental processes. It is designed to natively integrate with all R3 supported solutions such as WinCenter for capture and proposal management and IDIQ Task Order Management.

Account and Contact Master Data

R3 Account Management allows you to manage Accounts and Contacts as master data within a SharePoint environment. Above we are showing the main application.  Users can see and manage core account and contact information. You are able to easily search, filter, print, and export account and contact data as needed. The solution comes with standard GovCon oriented fields such as three level organizational hierarchy. And, it is easy to configure the data, forms, displays, and email notifications using wizards.


Account Contact Influence

It is easy to leverage your account and contact data. Here is the Account Contact Influence display. You can search for Accounts. With one click you drill down into the contacts for an account. You’ll see the influence that each contact has on the account. One click to print or export to Excel or PDF.


Customizable Reporting - Sample Influence Report

Understanding the influence of your contacts on customer accounts and opportunities is an important part of capture activities. This report shows the influence of contacts with Defense accounts. Influence is tracked by levels such as 1, 2, 3. It also has color indicators (Green, Red, Yellow). Using this report you can see the relative influence that your contacts have within their organizations. One click to drill down into the specific contact list for each organization.  This is just one example of many reports that you can create using the Report Wizard.


Activity Management

You can quickly log your activity with a contact. Here we are showing activity logged that was related to the Army FORSCOM account. In one view, you can see what is going on with an account. When you log an activity it can relate to an Account and Contact and also be related to Opportunities and/or pre-specified Capture Activities from WinCenter. You can then access Activities directly from these different perspectives.


Put functionality at Users' Fingertips where they work

R3 Snaplets are a type of web part that allows you to distribute application functionality to any page in any site across a SharePoint environment. This drives convenience and usage. Here we are showing the R3 Activity by Account Snaplet in the management center of Lohfeld WinCenter. As people work on capture and proposal activities they can access this resource and conveniently see and update activity. They never have to leave where they are working to leverage R3 Account Management.


Leveraging Master Contacts in All SharePoint Sites

It is common for SharePoint users to have separate working sites for Opportunities and Proposals. Here we show the Opportunity Contacts Snaplet within an opportunity site. From within the site (ie., without having to go somewhere else) the user is able to search and “fetch” a contact from the master list and pull it into the working site. They then have a local lists of contacts and their influence on the opportunity. The system keeps this local contact synced with the master list.
